When Life Gives You Lemons šŸ‹

Our brand-new release,Ā The Otter Daughters and the Lemonade Stand Lesson,Ā is finally here!

Written by Colton Jones, the Otter Daughters features two otter sisters– Opal and Olivia.

Children who read The Otter Daughters will follow Opal and Olivia through the beginning steps of financial literacy.

The book isn’t about working hard to get what you want, that’s a given.

Instead, Opal and Olivia learn how to measure needs against wants, how to invest to improve their own working conditions, and how to save a portion of their income.

And as we’ve discussed before, children internalize what they read. So, as Opal and Olivia learn through experience, so will your child.

As a parent, you know that the best stories are the ones that linger after the last page is turned. They spark conversations at bedtime, in the car, or around the dinner table.Ā The Lemonade Stand LessonĀ does just that—it invites children (and us adults, too!) to reflect on what really makes an effort worthwhile.

There’s also an important message about how giving back to others feels sweeter than keeping everything for ourselves.

And if reading it gives you a hankering for a cup of lemonade, there’s an incredible recipe in the back of the book for your family to try.

At White Lake Press, we believe that books are more than just stories—they’re stepping stones toward stronger family bonds and lifelong learning. That’s why I’m so excited to put this new title into your hands. I hope it brings joy, laughter, and meaningful conversations to your home.

Thank you, as always, for being part of the White Lake Press family. Your support means the world to us, and it’s an honor to walk alongside you as we nurture the next generation of readers, dreamers, and doers.

Happy Reading,
Miriam Monette
