I LOVE being able to have fun and learn at the same time! This book provides just such an opportunity. Collective nouns are often obscure and difficult to remember. The Crazy Collective Nouns Book helps you sort them out in an entertaining way, and makes you sound super smart in casual conversation and at trivia night! 😀
Miriam Monette’s writing style is reminiscent of Dr. Seuss. It is fun, light-hearted, and lyrically rhythmic, making it a pleasure to read out loud to your kids. With an added bonus: all the words are real! 😂
We love this book! The illustrations are whimsical and fun, and the words are entertaining and educational. It makes us giggle and teaches us stuff. Perfect.
What a fun idea for a book! We needed a book on collective nouns—as a language teacher, I’ve been recommending this to all my teacher friends. On each page, Ms. Monette describes the animal collective with good rhyme and in a funny way. With either the animal or the collective noun word, she has delved into its “personality” to make this even more fun. I’m glad the subheading says “African Animals” because that means that there are additional books like this coming in the future.
The description says for ages 5 to 9, but I would use this for older kids, even in high school to teach collective nouns.
Such a fun educational book for kids, the pictures are so cute too! Add this to your list of must have books for children.
This is such a cute and well written book. I read it to my grand kids. They loved it. The story is very informative and tells come fun facts about animals. I love this book. I had a problem with my copy though, it had some pages in the wrong order. I contacted Amazon and they were quick to send me another copy of the book.
